Portrait of Titus on Modern Bust

Titus, second emperor of the Flavian dynasty, is represented in this portrait, characterized by a massive head, a bulging forehead furrowed by two marked wrinkles, sunken eyes, thin lips, and a prominent chin,  overall the physiognomic features are realistic. The work can be referred to the second portrait type called Erbach Type, probably created at the beginning of the reign in 79 AD. The bust, covered by the tunic and armour with a rectangular collar, is modern and not pertinent to the portrait.
