The sculptural group is the result of a modern re-composition in which two subjects iconographically assimilable are associated. Two kneeling warriors are depicted in a moment of conflict, both holding a sword, another lies on the ground and divides them centrally. The warrior who rests on the ground with his left knee was assimilated by Visconti to a Celt, due to the presence of a mustache on his face. The arms of both are of restoration so they do not allow to reconstruct the original arrangement of the two fighters. The second warrior, who rests on the ground with his right knee, wears a short tunic girded at the waist. The head, now restored, was originally turned to the side. The sources indicate the presence of the sculptor's signature, preserved under the prop of the left foot of one of the two warriors, however it was not visible already at the time of the union of the two sculptures in the new base.
