With newly commissioned photography and insightful essays, the book presents portraits, deities, and monumental sculptures, nearly half of which had not been displayed or published since the 19th century. The volume connects ancient Roman cosmopolitanism with contemporary appreciation of classical art, offering an engaging scholarly and visual experience.
