Carlo Marchionni. I Taccuini Torlonia
An exceptional testament to the creative process of eighteenth-century Rome, Carlo Marchionni. The Torlonia Notebooks presents for the first time the complete edition of the three notebooks of the architect and leading figure of Roman classicism, author of the project for Villa Albani Torlonia. Through drawings, sketches, and annotations, the volume reveals Marchionni's intellectual workshop and the continuous dialogue between architecture, sculpture, and landscape, offering an essential tool for understanding one of the masterpieces of European eighteenth-century architecture.
